History
I knew the original owner of DINAWO because I attended Trent University with him and we later taught at the same First Nation school in Southern Ontario. I hope to carry on his message, “To inspire all people to believe and achieve…through breaking boundaries.”
The company has changed owners over the past 20 years of its existence. I, Connie McGregor, bought the company in August of 2016 and am the current owner. I believe in the message of Dinawo and hope to take it to a new level of success.
To do this, I am reacquainting Indigenous communities with Dinawo. By attending powwows and special events, Dinawo is being reintroduced to new customers and those who loved Dinawo “back in the day.”
Owning this small business keeps me busy as I share Dinawo with everyone. Going to local gatherings and travelling to powwows, I am reminded that “we are all together under one sun”. All spirits, human and otherwise are connected to one another, we all live and thrive using the same universal energy.

Kickin' It Old School

When I bought the Dinawo company in August 2016, I re-introduced the clothing line at powwows, craft bazaars and local events.
Some people would comment when they saw the brand, “I haven’t seen Dinawo for years. I still have my hoodie that I bought a long time ago. This is really kickin it old school!"
I thought to myself, “I’ve got to put that on a tee shirt.” A friend of mine who is a graphic artist came up with the design and I loved it. So do the customers who knew and loved Dinawo, back in the day.
